Return of the Bargain Mac!OK, so another of my great Apple Mac bargain clear-outs!
I have a selection of good solid, reliable G4 Apple Mac Towers for sale ranging from £80 to £120 depending on model/specification.
All HD’s are tested/checked and they are all dual boot machines having a full install of OS 9.22 (for OSX Classic) with all software updates run & more importantly, all firmware updates applied before having a fresh install of
Mac OS 10.411 (Tiger) installed, again with all available updates installed.
They all have my standard studio software install left on them which I'm happy to leave on as you might find it useful, or you can simply delete it if you prefer, your choice?
By default this includes the
Adobe CS2 software suite with
Photoshop, ImageReady, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge, Acrobat Pro, Acrobat Distiller as well as
Macromedia Studio MX with
Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Freehand along with
MS Office 2004 (
Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Entourage) plus all the other usual suspects such as iTunes, Firefox, Safari, iCal, Mail, Dictionary/Thesaurus, Toast Titanium, MSN etc.
Sorry, I don't have enough mice/keyboards to go with them all, but they are just standard USB 1.1 connectivity. However, if you do want an Apple Pro keyboard/mouse I might have some that could be available for a bit extra…
Basically, they are all great, fully functioning graphics/web work stations that would also make a great internet/email/music/photo home/office machine for you, or even your children – Virus worry free computing for any PC users out there!
They all look the same and the cases are in pretty good nick, although there is the odd scuff/scatch here and there, but nothing to write home about.
1) Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) – Model Nº M5183
400 MHz processor, 40GB HD, 512Mb RAM and ATI Rage Pro AGP graphics card. It has all the usual industry standard connectivity with USB(x2), Firewire(x2) and Ethernet (10/100 BASE-T) so great for internet/cameras/iPods/scanners/printers/routers etc. plus audio in/out connections. It also includes an internal CD/DVD ROM drive.

2) Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) – Model Nº M5183
450 MHz processor, 40GB HD, 512Mb RAM and ATI Rage Pro AGP graphics card. It has all the usual industry standard connectivity with USB(x2), Firewire(x2) and Ethernet (10/100 BASE-T) so great for internet/cameras/iPods/scanners/printers/routers etc. plus audio in/out connections. It also includes an internal CD/DVD ROM drive.
These G4 Macs can easily & cheaply be upgraded to wireless connectivity as well if you want via the built in Airport slot.
It has built in graphics support for dual monitors with separate DVI & 15 Pin VGA video output. It also features dual power supplies so your monitor power lead can be plugged in to the back of the Mac and thus reduce the number of plug sockets taken up.
All of this for

6) Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver) – Model Nº M8493
733 MHz processor, 60GB HD, 768MB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics card. This one i running Mac
OSX 10.58 Leopard (with all updates applied plus as it is also a dual boot model, it also has a full version of OS9.22 installed. It has all the usual industry standard connectivity with USB(x2), Firewire(x2) and Ethernet & Gigabyte Ethernet as standard (10/100/1000 BASE-T) so great for internet/cameras/iPods/scanners/printers/routers etc. plus 16 bit audio in/out connections**. It also includes an internal CD/CDRW drive.
The case design on the QuickSilver range is IMHO, the pinnacle of Apples product design at this period, simply stunning!
Unfortunately on this example, it is worth pointing out that cosmetically the case has what I would term ‘above average’ signs of wear and tear with various scuffs/scratches and some peeling of the finish on the inside of the right hand side panel. If this lives under your desk, you will never really notice this, just that it is not in the best of cosmetic condition. Functionality is not affected, so other than the marks, this is a cracking little machine!
