I know that this is my first post, but i am quite a respected user on South West dubs, Club Lupo and club Polo under the user names poloking and s2000king and thought i would widen my chances for a sale to a good home to a group of fellow dubbers. Unfortunataly due to lack of funds my Mk2 Golf will be going up for sale now.....
The spec is as follows:-
1984 Mk2 Golf GTi 8v Injection (Rare early model, not many left now)
203,000 miles (below average if you do the maths!! )
Full VW/VW specialist service history upto 150,000 miles!!! (service book pictured below)
Full folder of receipts, a lot of money spent in the past, previous tax discs etc.
Body panels are very straight for age, usual small dents and scrapes (25 years old!!!!!)
Bonnet and rear passenger quarter need re-painting, other bodywork paint is fine and came out loverly with a t-cut.
NO MAJOR RUST!!!! A few small patches on the bottem of the door and a bit on the sunroof that is starting to bubble through. Behind the rear number plate i found a rust hole that someone has bodged, not too bad, but would need to be sorted before a new one goes on.
Underside and sills are in quite good condition, bits of surface rust, nothing major.
Also has original Mk2 spec P-slots on with four centre caps, but have seen better days.
2 almost new tyres and 2 part worns, budgets i think.
Aftermarket imobiliser fitted with certificate and spare imobiliser and car keys included.
In my ownership the car has had:-
Full service including:- Castrol Magnatec 10w-40, VW oil filter, re-charged k+n panel filter, Bosch Super 4 spark plugs.
Brand new water pump.
Brand new thermostat.
Brand new coolant.
Brand new alternator belt.
The interior has seen better days as you can imagine, but everyting works. Sunroof doesn't leak, both front seats have worn quite alot, but it is 25 and has done 203,000 miles. Dashboard has got the common craking as well. Rear seats are in very good condition and has its original uncut parcel shelf and spacesaver+tool kit in the boot as well.
The car runs very well and starts first time, doesn't burn oil or use water, has been dry stored for a couple of years. Could be a good base for a 20VT project maybe??
A Sendai CD player head unit will also be fitted prior to selling, nothing special, but works fine.
The jobs i haven't done are the discs and pads and brake fluid, i will include 2 bottles of brake fluid to the buyer of the car as well as some wiper blades and a brand new cambelt kit, the car currently has no MOT or tax so will need to be trailored away. The car is located in Dartmouth, Devon (tap Dartmouth, Devon into Google maps if unsure).
